It was purchased at the First National Bank of Elgin, Elgin, Illinois on Dec 8th, 1980. The original purchase receipt will be included with the coin. This coin has been kept in the original plastic cover case in a safety deposit box for 30 years. Because this is a no reserve auction, the high bidder at the end of this auction will own this 1980 Canadian Maple Leaf $50 gold bullion coin.
